Singer of Roxette Passes Away At 61

Marie Fredriksson of Roxette has died at 61 after 17 years battle on cancer.

She was born on May 30, 1958 in Össjö, Sweden. She formed duo pop rock band Roxette with Per Gessle in 1986. The duo has achieved a great success with their iconic hits Listen To Your Heart and It Must Have Been Love in late 80's. They're also known with other successful hits including The Look, Dressed for Success, Fading Like A Flower, Joyride.

Per Gessle expressed his feelings with these sentences after his long time friend and bandmate's decease : "Time goes by so quickly. It’s not that long ago we spent days and nights in my tiny apartment in Halmstad, listening to music we loved, sharing impossible dreams. And what a dream we eventually got to share! ‘Thank you, Marie, thanks for everything. You were an outstanding musician, a master of the voice, an amazing performer. Thanks for painting my black and white songs in the most beautiful colours. You were the most wonderful friend for over 40 years. I’m proud, honoured and happy to have been able to share so much of your time, talent, warmth, generosity and sense of humour. All my love goes out to you and your family. Things will never be the same."

She was married to Mikael Bolyos and the couple had 2 children.

Best of Blue Eyed Soul

Blue Eyed Soul is a genre that blues&rhythm or soul music performed by WHITE people. That's why it's called Blue Eyed... It's thought that this term is used by Georgie Woods ( radio DJ ) first to describe The Righteous Brothers in early 1960s. Although it tastes the same with Soul music, it's not as popular as it. I've been searching for more songs by this genre decently. But songs are really limited when it comes a specific kind of a special genre.

Most of the people and singers, even including Daryll Hall ( he's pointed one of the best Blue Eyed Soul singers) describes the term "Blue Eyed Soul" as racist.

Best Blue Eyed Soul Artists From 1960s to Today

  1. The Righteous Brothers
  2. The Walker Brothers
  3. Robert Palmer
  4. Boz Scaggs
  5. Steve Winwood
  6. Frankie Valli
  7. Hall&Oates
  8. Joss Stone
  9. Duffy
  10. Amy Winehouse

Step By Step - Hello

Hi!..

It's always nice to decide writing something about music but also it is hard when it comes to write. Music is my life, I bet music is your life too... Music is everybody's life. Everybody finds something at music even if it's good or bad. I just decided to write something, or "everything" about music. You're on the right page if something's stuck in your head while listening to music, or something makes you want to search about the song.

Stay with the tune! 🎷
